BT has appointed film producer Kerry Sping-Rice to head its on-air and creative services team in its fast-growing BT Television division, which is preparing a hybrid digital terrestrial and broadband television service for trial in early 2006.
As Broadcastnow.co.uk reported, Spring-Rice joins BT from the brand consultancy Wolff Olins. Broadcastnow said her brief included overseeing design, branding, navigation and user experience of BT's video-on-demand service.
Spring-Rice led the video-on-demand team at Blockbuster between 2002 and 2004, and before that worked at Yes Television, pioneer of video-on-demand services via ADSL telephone lines.
