US-headquartered IPTV specialist Minerva Networks has launched its latest solution for IPTV operators, incorporating set-top boxes built by Swiss-based digital TV systems supplier ADB.
Minerva Networks said the solution would enable telecommunications groups to deliver television services to their subscribers using standard definition (SD), high definition (HD), MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats.
"IPTV operators have been at a disadvantage relative to their cable and satellite competition. This integrated solution levels the playing field," said Jean-Georges Fritsch, chief operating officer at Minerva Networks.
"ADB has been a terrific partner in this process and our customers will be pleased with the results. Minerva is proud to have ADB as a fully certified high definition/H.264 STB partner."
ADB also provides IPTV set-top boxes to Germany's HanseNet service and Alice homeTV, as well as Italy's FastWeb and Belgium's Telenet.
