Set-top box maker Pace Micro Technology has announced the appointment of Richard Slee as president of its Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions. Pace said Slee would develop Pace's business across EMEA and APAC regions as more markets move to high definition formats and adopt personal video recording (PVR) technology.
Slee joins Pace from Motorola where he was VP and European sales director of its networks division, responsible for the sales, engineering and technical functions. At Pace he will lead a 140-plus strong team of sales and engineering professionals specialising in EMEA and APAC platforms.
Pace CEO Neil Gaydon said: "We're delighted to welcome someone of Richard's experience to the Pace executive team. He joins us at an exciting time as we build on the new foundations established at Pace over the last year and take our business forward. Richard's strong track-record of sales development in high growth sectors will be a major asset as we continue to drive growth in the EMEA and APAC regions."
