Strategy & Technology Limited (S&T), a specialists in interactive TV playout systems and MHEG-5 middleware, has announced that it has appointed Simon Tsang as Regional Sales Manager—Asia Pacific.
Tsang is based in S&T's recently expanded Asia Pacific regional office in Hong Kong. Simon who reports to Colin Prior, Director of International Sales, will support S&T's broadcast customers and resellers as well as S&T's numerous MHEG-5 middleware licensees throughout the region.
"Simon will provide account management for S&T's MHEG Client Systems business as well as additional support for direct and distributor sales of broadcast equipment," explains Prior.
Tsang joins S&T from Syno Systems, a telecoms system integrator. Previously he worked in sales and marketing roles for Tut Systems, a IPTV headend provider that was acquired by Motorola; DVN a conditional access and head-end system provider, as well as a number of engineering roles. He has an Associateship in Electrical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic and an MBA from the University of Hong Kong.
"As is evident to anyone familiar with the broadcast industry, the Asia Pacific region is incredibly active as broadcasters continue the move to digital creation and distribution. MHEG-5 has a huge part to play in this and the appointment of Simon is further evidence of our commitment to projects across the region," explains David Cutts, MD, S&T.
