Sony is to stream classic World Cup content to Bravia TVs and Blu-ray Disc players across Europe via its Bravia Internet Video platform.
From late May owners of Bravia TVs, Bravia Home Theatre or Sony Blu-ray players with Bravia Internet Video will be able to view the Top 20 World Cup Moments, World Cup stories, World Cup films and access profiles of past football players.
Bravia Internet Video enables viewers to watch 'catch-up' services from broadcasters on their TV and allows access to on-demand internet content from sites such as YouTube and Dailymotion.
Christian Luecke, Director Consumer Marketing TV & Online Marketing, Sony Europe, said: "We are very excited to offer a catalogue of the FIFA World Cup Collection to consumers in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Thanks to BRAVIA Internet Video and our partnership with FIFA, we can make some of the greatest football moments come to life in consumers' living rooms across Europe at the touch of a button."
