Opera Software and Hisense have announced that the Opera TV Store has launched on selected models of Hisense Smart TVs, extending the partnership between the two companies further.
Hisense, who is using Opera software to power their entertainment portal, is introducing the Opera TV Store app platform to offer audiences a selection of HTML5-based apps optimized for connected TV. This spans apps for video, music, social media, games, news and utilities.
Viewers can discover the Opera TV Store on Hisense’s K610, XT780, XT880, K366 and K610 Smart TV models.
“Opera and Hisense have built a rewarding partnership. We evaluated many options when we decided to offer apps to our TV customers, and chose Opera as it has proven to be the simplest and fastest way to bring apps to TV,” said Charlie Wang, Vice President of Hisense Group. “We are excited to extend our collaboration to include the Opera TV Store and take our Smart TV experience to a new level.”
