Freetime software update to improve EPG

Freesat has announced that it has released new software from Humax for the Freesat+HD with Freetime, offering consumers an improved EPG as well as a number of other features.

The update was released on January 7 2014 with a software update for Freesat HD with Freeview following on January 8 2014.

The software update provides users with support for remote recordings and reminders on the Freesat app, which will be launched later this month. The app will also allow users to control their Freetime box remotely.

EPG and stability improvements as well as improvements to the accessibility of the media list from a NTFS formatted USB device, the display of Recorded Programmes when switching on from Standby and when Copying media or Deleting recordings are all part of the update.

The devices will update automatically although consumers can also update their Freetime box manually.
