Thinkbox, the marketing body for commercial TV in the UK, has estimated that viewers in the UK watch a "potential" of 5 hours and 31 minutes of video per day. This includes every conceivable form of video consumption from TV watching, tablets, mobile, adult content and viewing in outdoor locations.

Linear TV viewing accounts for 3 hours and 52 minutes (70.1%) of this.
