DTG members Streamhub have announced that it has launched a real-time video analytics service for the media industry.
Currently in beta testing, the service takes a client's video data from its own services and YouTube, along with social media metrics from the likes of Twitter and Facebook and uses Google Analytics to calculate key influencing factors which affect viewer engagement.
“[Streamhub] was something born out of a conversation with a content owner who was concerned about how competitors were performing in the online video space,” Aki Tsuchiya of Streamhub said in a statement.
The company will also launch an experimental YouTube index that monitors performance of TV programmes on the site which allows companies to compare the relative popularity of legitimate and illegal uploads.
