Rode & Schwarz is supporting the launch of HDMI 2.0 6G through its latest video tester that will measure the interoperability between 4K Ultra HD consumer electronics.
The company said that the new Rohde & Schwarz video tester is the first to offer an integrated, easy to operate solution for electrical measurements of HDMI 2.0 sources. They will also enable protocol compliance verification for consumer electronics equipment.
The Rohde & Schwarz VT B2380 TMDS time domain analyzer features an outstanding cost/benefit ratio and excellent operating convenience and gives users the advantage of carrying out plug and measure electrical analysis.
The solution from Rohde & Schwarz is of special interest for design engineers and producers of consumer electronics equipment such as TVs, set top boxes, projectors and Blu-ray players, for chip manufacturers and test houses as well as the wide base electronics market.
Rohde & Schwarz said: “With its new options, the Rohde & Schwarz video tester family represents the most comprehensive platform for HDMI 2.0 tests on the market. Since users require only a single T&M instrument, there is no longer a need for costly test setups with multiple devices. Extensive automation makes it possible to carry out fast, comprehensive protocol-layer and physical-layer testing of HDMI interfaces.”
The Rohde & Schwarz electronics group is a leading supplier of solutions in the fields of test and measurement, broadcast and media, secure communications, and radio monitoring and radiolocation. The new R&S VT-B2362 module for HDMI source and sink compliance tests and the new R&S VT-B2380 module for debugging the electrical characteristics of HDMI sources are now available from Rohde & Schwarz.
