The UK Internet TV service, YouView, has expanded its internship scheme in 2015 to recruit new talent from a variety of disciplines.
YouView successfully launched an intern recruitment drive in 2014 that brought in several talented additions to their central London office. This year it has expanded its placement opportunities to include a greater diversity of roles in the company, from internships in PR and marketing to design and data science.
Prospective interns should have a passion for technology and identify with the core values of being extraordinary, brave and valued, YouView said.
As well as running 12-month paid placements, YouView is offering three-month summer internships that will give candidates the opportunity to work on innovative projects and develops key skills for both the UK TV and technology industries.
Piers Lomax, head of engineering at YouView, said: “We’re delighted with the groundbreaking projects our new recruits have helped deliver. In the past few months, we have successfully launched on demand players from Netflix and Quest, brought new BBC iPlayer and BBC Connected Red Button to the service and worked with our partners to bring new devices to market.
“Now we’re looking to welcome even more talented people to our technology teams to help deliver our ambitious plans for 2015.”
Successful candidates can expect added benefits from access to a wide range of voluntary benefits and to individualised training and development programs.
