HBO threatens to cut off non-US on-demand customers

Pay-TV service HBO has threatened to cut off customers for its on-demand service outside of the US using VPNs to get around international viewing restrictions.

Torrentfreak reports that the Game of Thrones producer has emailed users in Canada, the UK, Germany and Australia warning them their HBO Now access will be terminated within days.

Japan's NHK showcases 4k programme slate

Japanese public broadcaster NHK has previewed dozens of 4k Ultra HD TV projects ready for international licensing at the annual MIPtv market in Cannes.

Advanced Television says NHK brought along its own work and productions from Saga TV, BS Japan, Tokyo Broadcasting, Japan Cable & Telecommunications Assoc, Asahi Broadcasting, Fuji TV. Yomiuri Telecasting, Sapporo Visual, and Imagine CR Inc.
