UK Spectrum Policy Forum to hold event with the DSA Forum at the DTG

The Dynamic Spectrum Alliance and UK Spectrum Policy Forum will hold a meeting at the DTG on the 9th of July to discuss spectrum access mechanisms and use cases.

The meeting is part of Cluster 2 of the UK SPF and the output of which will form part of a Cluster 2 report on the subject. There will be a keynote presentation from DSA forum, as well panel session on following topics:

PMSE – how the technology will need to evolve in order to keep pace with the changes being made to spectrum allocation and usage, what are the implications post 700MHz switchover e.g. availability of PMSE channels

Licensed and unlicensed access with a section on Wi-Fi

DTT/Broadcast—including technology changes such as a T2 switchover, convergence of mobile and broadcast standards (LTE-A+, LTE Broadcast), post 700MHz.

Speaker from the commissioned report on future spectrum sharing scenarios

This is a great opportunity to contribute to the UK SPF Cluster 2 report, which will not only enable understanding and discussion around the current and future proposed methods of access to spectrum but provide recommendations of ‘new/changed methods’ to Government and Ofcom.
