DTG launches UK Television Innovation Competition 2015

The DTG is pleased to announce, for the third year, that it is running the DTG TV Innovation Awards, an open competition to expose innovative SMEs in our sector to global broadcast and media opportunities at IBC (11-15 September 2015).

The DTG UK Television Innovation Competition, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment and IBC, is being launched today to mark London Technology Week—a week of face-to-face events celebrating London's global position as a hotbed of tech innovation, business successes, entrepreneurship and creative talent.

The DTG UK Television Innovation Competition 2015 will consist of four key stages:

Applications open (12 June—10 July)—All UK based SMEs that can provide an innovative service or product in the realm of television technology will be invited to apply.

Semi Final and Networking Event at DTG London offices (21 July)—12 applicants will be shortlisted and invited to give a Dragons Den-style pitch at the DTG offices in Central London. Each company will showcase their innovation to a panel of leading industry expert judges and six will be invited to attend IBC 2015.

Post IBC winner and business development engagement (6 months)—Follow-up will consist of additional support for the winners from their mentors and a sponsor, alongside regular consultation from the DTG as a part of the one-year affiliate membership.
