ITV continues call for Virgin Media to pay carriage fees

Describing the arrangements as "a multi-million-pound annual subsidy" ITV has called again for Virgin Media to pay carriage fees for its main channel.

Virgin Media responded with a view that a blackout from ITV would be "mutual self-destruction" saying "How ITV is funded has been the same since it was created—and to come and pick us off individually is not an appropriate way to do it... We are the second biggest TV platform in the UK and that makes us an important partner".
