In Parliament today Culture Secretary Matt Hancock commented on the possible Channel 4 relocation in response to a question from Michael Fabricant, MP for Lichfield.
Hancock said: “Our argument is that Channel 4 needs to do more outside of London and I can certainly see the arguments for it moving its headquarters. Channel 4 does an amazing job and we want to see them do even more to reflect and provide for the country as a whole. We are clear that Channel 4 must have a major presence outside London and I’m working with them to see that happen.”
