Warnings on 29th anniversary of the web

Sir Timothy Berners-Lee has used the 29th anniversary of the publication of his proposal for an 'information management' system that became the world-wide web to warn his creation is in peril. He says the World Wide Web says the internet as we know it is "under threat" and faces "heaps" of problems.

29 years after he created the world wide web, this year is expected to be the first time that more than half of the world’s population will have internet access.
