Cartesian becomes first consultancy to join the DTG

02 May 2017, London -- London, 02 May 2017: The DTG, the UK’s unique self-funded collaboration centre for innovation in digital TV technology, has announced that Cartesian has joined as its first member from the consultancy sector, as digital television becomes relevant to an ever-expanding pool of groups, businesses and consumers.

The DTG already comprises a breadth of organisations, including television broadcasters, technology manufacturers, government departments, hosting platforms, universities and accessibility charities. The addition of consultancies to this group will help to ensure that progress in the field will continue to benefit from the insight of a broad range of experts.

Cartesian, a specialist consultancy for the telecommunications, media and technology industry, will be leading the DTG’s newly formed Digital Rights Management (DRM) group, which has been established in response to the growing importance of content security and consumer privacy. With full implementation of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), due in May 2018, this takes on even greater significance.
