The DTG is delighted to announce that David Woolgar has joined the team as a DTG Technologist.
David has more than 30 years’ experience in the Consumer Electronics field covering a range of market segments including AV, semiconductors, healthcare and energy, spending 15 years as the lead technical representative for Philips/TP Vision in the Digital TV sector for the UK and the Nordics.
He has been a major contributor to DTG’s D-Book and its associated test regime, DTG’s U-Book and NorDig’s IRD Specification and Test Plan. He’s provided technical representation in product-level negotiations with industry organisations such as Digital UK/Freeview, BBC & Freesat as well as higher-level regulatory discussions within techUK and with Ofcom, BEIS & DCMS.
More recently, as Strategic Adviser for Consumer Electronics at techUK he acted as the value proposition lead for digital device commercial issues linked to content distribution, technology platforms, broadcaster engagement and consultation and regulatory responses on behalf of members engaged in consumer electronic device production and sales.
