What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Failure is the most important part of success. Never give up and remember that one cannot be successful without going through failures. I am reminded of the famous quote – ‘The greatest glory in living lies not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail.’
What is the most important thing you’ve learnt in your career?
Believe in yourself and always be open-minded to new ideas and to understand other people’s perspectives.
What is the one change you think is critical for the industry?
Usability – easy and secure access to high-quality content. The consumer wants access to content without the hassle of app updates, password re-entering etc.
What key skills do you think are needed for your role?
Learning and collaboration. Technology is changing exponentially, and in my role, I need to constantly discover new methods and implement new technologies to develop the services that the DTG provides.
What is your desert island luxury item?
A solar-powered music player.
What is your super power?
Perseverance. Always try your best to look for a solution, no matter how overwhelming the problem is.
What do you do to unwind?
It depends on my mood that day, but a few of my favourite ones are listening to music while cooking or walking and playing badminton.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about learning new skills and hence investing in my personal growth. I believe in the quote – ‘Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.’
What is your all-time favourite film or tv show?
The Pursuit of Happyness. This movie inspires me and makes me both cry and smile.
If you had a catchphrase what would it be?
Join the dots is my favourite one. It always reminds me to understand the big picture and be inquisitive to know about each dot’s significance and relevance.
