Tell us briefly what Kineton does?

Kineton is a tech company driven by innovation. We provide cutting-edge engineering solutions for the Media, Automotive, Telco, and Aerospace industries.

In Media, we focus on software development, system integration, and testing solutions, including our cloud-based platform Kineton MediaCert, which now incorporates the DTG DVB-I Test Suite for compliance testing, a capability trusted by manufacturers and operators worldwide. We develop and validate apps for Smart TVs, smartphones, and other platforms, and we’re an official lab for Italian certification. Our expertise extends to cloud systems, UI/UX, automation, XR technologies, and AR applications for Industry 4.0.

While our roots are in Italy, Kineton Europe – our UK subsidiary – is at the heart of our international growth, connecting us with the UK’s vibrant media technology ecosystem. Our DTG membership is part of that commitment to collaboration.

What is your mission as a company?

Our mission is simple but ambitious: to bring clarity to complexity. We anticipate future needs and deliver innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies. Whether it’s a new testing framework or a cross-platform content experience, we aim to make the complicated feel simple for our clients and end users.

What sets you apart from the competition?

We’re problem-solvers at heart. What sets us apart is our ability to move fast without losing depth. We combine technical rigour with strategic thinking. We don’t just deliver services; we build long-term partnerships. Plus, we’re not afraid to challenge the status quo if it means a better outcome.

We take clear accountability for every project and follow it closely from start to finish, making sure nothing is left to chance. It’s our way of turning ideas into results with precision and care. This is at the core of our claim High Tech Humanity, advanced technology shaped around people’s needs.

What’s the most exciting thing coming up for Kineton?

We’re entering an exciting new phase of growth. In the UK, we’re expanding our presence and investing in new partnerships. Across Europe, we’re contributing to the development of next-gen media standards and building tools and services to help our clients meet evolving demands, from compliance to monetisation.

And we’ve just launched a new subsidiary in the US, a big step that gets us closer to key global partners, opens up new opportunities, and lets us bring our expertise to a wider client base. This expansion gives us more opportunities to collaborate across markets, share knowledge, and accelerate the adoption of next-gen media technologies.

At the same time, we keep investing in innovation and R&D, developing new solutions, building strategic collaboration and strengthening our role in shaping the future of media technology on both sides of the Atlantic.

What is the biggest issue you think we can address together through cross-industry collaboration?

Consistency. As the media landscape becomes increasingly complex (with more platforms, more specs, and more devices), it’s vital to align on standards and best practices. Cross-industry collaboration, like what happens within DTG, is essential to avoid duplication of effort and to ensure the viewer experience stays smooth, wherever and however they’re watching.

What might people not know about your company?

We’re not just about technology. We’re a Società Benefit, which in Italian means we’ve made a legal and strategic commitment to positive social and environmental impact. We support everything from STEM education initiatives to local cultural projects.

We invest heavily in our people: in their growth, well-being, and professional development. Our culture is built on collaboration, trust, and shared purpose. We believe that when people thrive, innovation follows.
