Tell us briefly, what does RTÉ do?
Raidió Teilifís Éireann – RTÉ – is Ireland’s national public service media organisation – on television, radio, online and mobile. The organisation operates the TV channels RTÉ One, RTÉ2, RTÉ Kids, RTÉ News and radio stations RTÉ Radio One, RTÉ2fm, RTÉ Lyric FM, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, and RTÉ Gold. RTÉ is responsible for Ireland’s free-to-air DTT service known as Saorview under a mandate set out in the 2009 Broadcasting Act.

We envisage collaboration on DTT broadcast technology, new forms of content distribution and discovery, and evolving research and technical standards.
What might people not know about your company?
2026 marks a century of broadcasting in Ireland, when the station known by the callsign 2RN began transmission of Ireland’s first official radio service. Events commemorating the 100th anniversary of public service broadcasting in Ireland are scheduled through 2026.
