Deutsche TV-Plattform (DTVP) and the Digital TV Group (DTG), in partnership with the HbbTV Association, will host the 16th edition of its successful Plugfest series from 6–10 October 2025 at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin.
This joint Plugfest builds on the strong collaboration between DTG and DTVP and will focus on HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio and DVB-I, alongside the traditional UHD-HDR interoperability tests via HDMI ports. The event brings together device manufacturers, broadcasters, technology providers, platform operators, research bodies and standards organisations to test and validate implementations in a collaborative environment.
Co-timed with the Plugfest (6–8 October), a dedicated HbbTV Testing Event led by the HbbTV Association will take place from 8–10 October at the same venue. This provides HbbTV implementers with the opportunity to execute test cases and contribute evidence towards the v2025-3 release approval process.
Test Material Providers will be on-site to help address issues related to both content and implementation. Participants will receive temporary access to the test harness and test plan materials and must be TRAA assignees to access the HbbTV Test Repository.
