Freeview to go, please!

Freeview, the UK’s biggest TV platform, has jumped in to the mobile world with the launch of its new app. The Freeview app is now available on the App Store, ready for iOS users to download on to their devices.

Users of the app will be able to stream shows live from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 and also play on-demand content on the go from BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5 and UKTV Play – all for free.

The Freeview app has a number of features available to give you the best viewing experience possible. Of note is On Demand Recommendations which helpfully takes note of what entertainment you lean towards and suggests content just for you. It could be your longstanding go-to show or the new favourite that you are yet to discover but whatever it is, with thousands of hours of content and ten genres, the Freeview app will have something for every user. Bring on the TV binge!

For those who like to plan their TV-watching schedules, you’ll be pleased to know that Freeview has included their trusty TV guide in the app. The TV guide will span 15 days showing content from both the previous week and the week ahead so that users will be able to plan both their live and on-demand viewing.

The Freeview app is currently available on the App Store. In keeping with its name, it’s free to use as neither a download fee or subscription is required. Android users, don’t worry the Android version will launch later this year.
