Designed to put the viewer first, the T2-R offers everything you’d expect from a Freeview HD recorder over 70 subscription-free Freeview channels plus 15 in HD, a 500GB hard drive capable of storing up to 300 hours of programmes, and the ability to pause and rewind live TV.
What makes the T2-R stand out is a slick, intuitive programme guide, and a host of features designed to make finding and recording programmes as simple and as straightforward as possible.
Viewers can plan their viewing up to 7 days ahead both through the programme guide and while watching in full screen using the T2’s channel browser. Enhanced programme information makes it simple to find out more about whats on. If a viewer selects a standard definition programme, the box will even let them know if an HD version is available on another channel.
Once they’ve decided what to watch, the T2-R’s twin tuners mean that viewers can record two programmes at once. If the viewer wants to record yet another programme, the T2-R will search the programme guide for alternative broadcasts of the programme to make it work. Series linking means viewers can record every episode of their favourite show with just two clicks of the remote.
Navigating recordings is simple and intuitive, with programmes arranged by category and series. Deleted recordings are sent to the trash, meaning viewers never have to worry about accidentally deleting a programme.
The T2-R even comes with Manhattan’s smart learning remote which can be quickly and simply programmed to control the viewer’s TV.
The ultra-compact T2-R is designed in the UK and the sleek box fits into any living room. The T2-R comes backed by Manhattans two-year manufacturer warranty and support from our UK-based call centre.
Manhattan prides ourselves on creating competitively-priced set-top boxes that punch way above their weight, said Alex Arbab-Zadeh, Director of Product Development at Manhattan TV.
“Weve made sure that the viewer is firmly at the heart of our thinking and constantly challenged ourselves to design a box that makes finding and recording programmes as simple and as intuitive as possible.
“For what youd expect to pay for an entry-level recorder, the T2-R not only delivers all the usual benefits of Freeview HD, it also comes packed with fantastic technology and features such as an 8-day programme guide, a huge hard drive, the capability to pause and rewind live TV, and series linking.
“What really makes the box stand out from the crowd is just how slick and satisfying it is to use. Viewers will love the intuitive programme guide, the outstanding design of the box itself and its speed and ease of use. We’re proud to have created a Freeview recorder of this standard with an RRP of less than 120. We believe the viewer experience is very much on a par with and often surpasses high-end set-top boxes and pay TV boxes
The T2-R is available now from leading retailers including Tesco, Argos, Currys, and Amazon.
