netgem.tv has just announced the launch of its personalised Internet TV service in Ireland, following a successful entry into the UK market last year, with a range of smart-home devices distributed on Amazon, Ebay from today, and with more Retail distribution channels and Broadband Service providers to be open soon in Ireland.
The service will bring together the best of saorview live channels and on-demand content through one slick interface, for the first time to Irish viewers.
The app-controlled TV service has won plaudits in Britain for bringing together the best of paid-for TV content and Freeview in one intuitive personalised recommendation service bringing the most popular Live and on-demand TV services on Mobile devices and large TV screens in the lounge.
In 2018, netgem.tv launched a range of smart-home devices including an all-in-one FreeviewPlay soundbar & TV streamer, the Soundbox HD (‘Most Innovative in-home device’ TV Connect Awards 2018); and the NetBox HD, recently voted ‘Best FreeviewPlay set-top-box of 2019’ by Expert Reviews.
The innovative netgem.tv service has also been shortlisted in the 2019 UK National Technology Awards in the Consumer Product of the Year and Smart Home Solution of the Year categories coming up in May.
netgem.tv currently partners with Freeview Play in the UK, and features Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten, Youtube, Hayu as well as a growing number of new TV channels and On-Demand services added every month.
Following the March launch of its Irish service on Amazon.co.uk, new on demand and live content, innovative features and distribution partners are expected to be announced soon.
