Sky unveils Anytime+ service

Sky has unveiled its Anytime+ video-on-demand (VoD) service, enabling Sky+HD customers to access hours of content via their Sky Broadband connection.

The service is planned to launch later this year and will offer around 1,000 hours of content from Sky Movies, Sky Sports, Sky Arts and Sky1, as well as a range of content from third party channels. Customers with Sky Broadband will be able to access subscription VoD content for no extra charge.

Kathryn Downward, Sky’s Head of TV Services, comments: “The Sky+HD box is a gateway to the richest home entertainment experience available. Whether it’s HD, 3D, Sky+ or the soon to expand Sky Anytime service, our customers can truly define their own TV experience, watching exactly what they want, when they want.”

Anytime+ content can be downloaded to the Sky+ Planner from the Sky Broadband network via a wired or wireless connection between the Sky+HD box and the router. Sky is offering new customers who are having Sky+HD installed for the first time the option of having their set-top box connected to their router at the time of installation.
