MWave Consulting Ltd is a UK- based electronics design facility that has world-class RF & Microwave design capability and a successful history of designing satellite reception equipment for the major satellite broadcast operators globally.
What is your mission as a company?
To grow the business profitably, supporting existing products used by broadcast operators and addressing the growth markets and challenges of delivering reliable IP connectivity whatever the medium and across the application spectrum including IoT.

A team of people all working with the same objectives and discipline, defining and developing best-in-class products through continued evolution, from design methodology to production and test plans to ensure reliable, compliant products are delivered to customers.
What is the most exciting thing coming up for MWave?
MWave is expanding its product portfolio beyond its traditional satellite reception equipment to include solutions for:
- Broadband access and connectivity (in-home and industrial using G.hn technology. MWave is a member of the HomeGrid Forum)
- 5G solutions to bring 5G digital content in-home (homes block higher 5G frequency bands used)
- VSAT – Two-way terminals allowing data and broadcast services to be delivered to consumers that don’t receive broadband (or limited) or 4/5G services
What is the biggest issue you think we can address together through cross-industry collaboration?
Allowing the consumer easy access to their digital content through products, solutions and services that are clearly defined through standards, interoperability and compatible where possible with legacy installations. Educating the consumer in layman’s language will facilitate faster adoption of technology and maximising the services that are available to them that will achieve the aims of increasing Accessibility and User Experience
What might people not know about your company?
MWave’s design team have worked together for 25 years (following each other through their careers at other companies before MWave). The same applies to the core manufacturing team at ShengYang Electronics with 15 years associated with the development team.
